Terms of Service

Welcome to KOLUNE (the "Service", run at kolune.app and covering K-Saju and our K-pop compatibility readings). When you access or use the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

KOLUNE is a seller of digital readings. We take the birth information you give us, compute a traditional Korean four-pillars (사주) chart from it, and deliver a written cultural reading on a web result page. The same applies whether you buy K-Saju, a saju compatibility reading, or a K-pop idol or group compatibility reading. Some readings are opened with a prepaid credit balance instead (see Section 3).

2. Eligibility & account

To purchase, you must be at least 18 years old, or of the age of majority where you live. The accuracy of the details you enter at checkout is your responsibility. No account registration is needed; each purchase is tied to the email address you give us.

3. Orders & payment

When you submit birth details and payment, you are making an offer to buy. Payment is handled by our payment provider (currently one of Dodo Payments, Payhip, or Lemon Squeezy; our Privacy Policy names the active one) under that provider's own terms. We may refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our discretion, for example on suspicion of fraud, after a payment failure, or from a prohibited region. Prices and discounts can change without notice; what you pay is the price shown at the moment you buy. Certain products are unlocked with a prepaid credit balance rather than a single purchase: credits are sold as one-off packs (there is no subscription), they do not expire, and every reading you unlock uses up credits. Purchases of credits, and the readings unlocked with them, fall under our Refund Policy.

4. Delivery

K-Saju is delivered digitally; nothing is posted to you. Once payment succeeds, your reading is generated and a link to your web result page is emailed to the address you gave, normally within 5 minutes. That link lets you reopen the reading online whenever you wish.

5. Cultural content, not prediction or advice

Your reading is a cultural interpretation drawn from traditional Korean four-pillars (saju), meant for self-reflection and entertainment. It is not a prediction of what will happen. It is not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or therapeutic advice. We give no warranty that it is accurate, complete, or suited to any particular purpose. Treat it as a mirror, never as a script. Our K-pop compatibility readings are fan entertainment built on the four-pillars chart of publicly available birth dates; they say nothing about the real personality, private life, or any actual relationship of the idol, artist, or group, and are not statements of fact about them. KOLUNE is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any idol, artist, agency, or label; every name and mark belongs to its owner and appears only to identify the public figure for entertainment.

6. Licence

You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to read, save, and return to your own report for personal, non-commercial use. Without our prior written permission you may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publicly republish the report or any substantial part of it.

7. Refunds

Our Refund Policy applies. Customers in the EU and UK keep their 14-day statutory cooling-off period; the Refund Policy explains how that right sits alongside the digital nature of the product.

8. Intellectual property

The Service in its entirety belongs to KOLUNE and its licensors and is protected by Korean and international intellectual property law. That covers the saju calculation engine, the reading templates, the prompt designs, the brand "K-Saju" / "KOLUNE", and every piece of content on the site. Copying, modifying, decompiling or reverse-engineering the Service is not permitted, and neither is using it to build a competing product.

9. Acceptable use

The Service must not be used to:

• Feed in a private individual's birth details without their consent, or pass yourself off as them. (Using a public figure's publicly available birth date for an entertainment compatibility reading is fine.)
• Probe, scan, or try to get around our security or rate limits
• Pull content out by automated means beyond your own report
• Sell readings on, or bundle them into a service that competes with ours
• Commit payment fraud or abuse chargebacks

10. Third-party services

The Service depends on third-party processors (payment: Dodo Payments, Payhip, or Lemon Squeezy; email: Resend; database/storage: Supabase; hosting: Vercel; job queue: Inngest; AI generation: OpenAI and/or Anthropic; ad measurement: Meta and TikTok). Each runs under its own terms and privacy practices. Beyond choosing and overseeing them with reasonable care, we are not responsible for what they do or fail to do.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service comes "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", with no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

12. Limitation of liability

So far as the law allows, KOLUNE's total liability arising from or connected to the Service is capped at what you actually paid for the specific reading in question during the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify KOLUNE and its operators against any claim, liability, or expense (reasonable legal fees included) that arises from your breach of these Terms, your breaking of the law, or your misuse of the Service.

14. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms or put the Service or other users at risk. Provisions that by their nature outlast termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) stay in force.

15. Changes

These Terms may be revised from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be announced by email or with a banner on the Service. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept it.

16. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, leaving aside conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go exclusively to the Seoul Central District Court, unless mandatory consumer-protection law where you live says otherwise.

17. Severability & entire agreement

Should any part of these Terms be found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between you and KOLUNE about the Service and replace any earlier agreements.
